Ahsan Iqbal Launches Second Season of URAAN Pakistan Innovation Hub


Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has officially launched Season 2 of the 10 billion rupees URAAN Pakistan Innovation Hub. Addressing the launching ceremony in Islamabad, he emphasized that creativity and innovation are central to national competitiveness in the modern economy.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister stated that Pakistan must push its limits and pursue innovation-led growth to not only stay relevant but also to lead in the global arena. Highlighting the potential of Pakistan’s creative industries, including music, art, design, gaming, and culture, he announced plans to bring these sectors under the umbrella of URAAN Pakistan.



He further revealed that a national workshop will be held in the coming weeks to chart a strategic roadmap for developing the country’s creative economy, which he identified as a key driver of future growth. Ahsan Iqbal outlined a vision to increase Pakistan’s exports from 32 billion dollars to 100 billion dollars over the next decade, arguing that economic independence hinges on earning foreign exchange through globally competitive products and services.
