Karachi, December 05, 2012 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed has directed concerned officials to submit all record pertaining to citizens’ complaints that had been registered on Citizens Complaints Center 1339. This action has been taken to analyze the response of Citizens Complaints Center over the complaints.
He issued this directive on a visit of Citizens Complaints Center in Civic Center. Senior Director Information Technology Masood Alam, Deputy Commissioner Central Dr. Saif-ur-Rehman, Project Director Abdul Nasir and other high officials were also present on this occasion. Administrator Karachi said that practical steps must be taken to address the problems facing by the people so that these could be solved in least possible time.
He also directed all heads of departments to submit daily report regarding the complaints registered at 1339. The complaints centers were instructed to start their work on 9 am daily and facilitate the people. He also instructed Senior Director Information Technology to nominate a focal person to check the update status of complaints received at the 1339. Administrator Karachi said he will personally contact the complainants and enquire about the response on their complaints.
He said disciplinary action would be taken against the officials and concerned departments in case of any show of negligence. Earlier Senior Director I.T Masood Alam while giving a briefing to Administrator Karachi said that the 1339 Center has performed well so far especially during Eid-ul-Azha when prompt action was taken on the complaints regarding lifting and removal of offal in the city.
