11.093 tonnes of garbage lifted from six towns of Karachi drive continues

Karachi: The City District Government Karachi has removed 11,093 tons of garbage during last 4 days of its third phase of cleanliness drive going on in the six towns of the city. The drive has been launched under the directives of Government Sindh Dr.Ishrat- ul- Ebad Khan and the Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed is monitoring the results of the campaign on daily basis.

The third phase of the campaign is continuing is six towns i.e. Landhi, Shah Faisal, Gadap, Bin Qasim, Malir and Korangi where 8282 employees have been deployed to ensure better results of the campaign while 611 vehicles of different categories have also been engaged to shift the garbage to land fill sites.

In this regard, Muhammad Hussain Syed Administrator and Roshan Ali Sheikh D.C.O. Karachi have paid five hour long visit to these areas to see themselves the working/performance of the employees as well as cleanliness drive achievement. Streets, nullahs and side lanes have been included in the cleanliness campaign.

The spray against mosquitoes has also been included to eliminate the breeding chances to mosquitoes specially dengue. The citizens have been advised to come forward and help the city government to make the cleanliness drive a success throughout the Karachi.
