Kashmir issue not a law and order problem: KUTA

Srinagar, July 28, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, Kashmir University Teacher’s Association (KUTA) Thursday demanded that serious initiatives should be undertaken by India and Pakistan for an effective and peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue.

KUTA in a statement issued after its meeting in Srinagar said that the present uprising was not a law order problem, but it was the reflection of unresolved Kashmir dispute.KUTA expressed its deep concern and shock over the recent killings and unprecedented use of force resulting in serious injuries to thousands of Kashmiris.

The statement drew the attention of human rights organisations to the prevailing situation in the territory where trigger happy Indian soldiers were carrying out genocide of the Kashmiri people.

“Mass uprisings like the present one are not law and order problems but the reflection of unresolved Kashmir issue,” the statement said.
It demanded that serious initiatives should be undertaken by Pakistan and India for an effective and peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue.
