Karachi, June 01, 2017 (PPI-OT):Provincial Minister for Education and Literacy Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that unless the teachers, headmasters and headmistresses develop sense of ownership for their respective schools, we can not improve current scenario of the education in Sindh. We have to bring our province at the top in the country in education sector.
This he said as a chief guest in a ceremony to distribute offer letters to HMs of Karachi and Hyderabad regions, who have qualified through IBA Sukkur here at Karachi Arts Council on Thursday. It is to mention here that as many 1039 HMs have qualified and have been given offer letters region wise. Out of which 207 are females. In the ceremony offer letters were given to 104 HMs from Karachi region and 303 HMs from Hyderabad region.
He added, ‘A great responsibility lies upon the shoulders of the newly recruited HMs, adding that he hoped that they would definitely come up to the expectations and would bring about positive changes in their schools’. Jam Mehtab said that the education department would recruit 1000 more HMs and to ensure the attendance of the teachers, as many 542 monitoring assistants were working across the province and they at least twice in a month visited their schools.
He assured them if they worked honestly, they would not only get inner satisfaction, but they would also get good reward on the Day of Judgment. He said, in increasing enrollment in schools, the role of HMs is quite important and it is the need of the hour to enhance enrollment in schools at all cost.
The Minister for Education and Literacy Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar assured the HMs his full cooperation and also warned them if they did not perform their duties honestly and efficiently, they must ready for a strict action. On this occasion the senior HMs also shared their success stories. Secretary Education schools Abdul Aziz Uqaili and chief program manager Reform Support unit Faisal Uqaili also spoke on the occasion.
