President Dr. Arif Alvi says women empowerment is of vital importance to ensure their contribution in the national development.

He expressed these views while addressing the passing out ceremony of 49th Common Training Program in Lahore on Tuesday.

He said the future of Pakistan is bright and with our dedicated efforts, we can take Pakistan to new heights of progress and development.

Later, addressing the inaugural ceremony of establishment of Saylani-Ehsaas Langar Khana at Bahawalpur this evening, President Dr Arif Alvi said the government is utilizing all available resources for provision of basic amenities of life to masses.

He said the government is establishing Langarkhanas and Panaghas across the country to provide food and shelter to poor and homeless segments of society.

Talking about national economy, the President said the government took concrete measures to strengthen economy, increase exports and augment agriculture sector.
