Weather to remain dry in plain, very cold in northern areas

Cold and dry weather in most parts of the country while very cold in northern areas and north Balochistan is expected during the next twelve hours.

Dense foggy conditions are likely to prevail over plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh during night and morning hours.

Frost is likely to occur at isolated places in Pothohar and Kashmir region during morning hours.

Temperatures of some major cities recorded this morning:

Islamabad four degree centigrade, Lahore nine, Karachi fourteen, Peshawar seven, Quetta minus two, Gilgit minus four, Murree two and Muzaffarabad three degree centigrade.

According to Met Office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, very cold and dry weather is expected in Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula, cold and dry in Jammu, while partly cloudy and very cold in Leh.

Temperature recorded this morning:

Srinagar, Pulwama and Shopian minus one degree centigrade, Jammu eight, Leh minus eleven, Anantnag and Baramula minus two degree centigrade.
