New york: Pakistan has called for accelerated and results-driven partnerships to advance the Sustainable Development Goals in the final five years leading up to 2030. The remarks were made by Deputy Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, Ambassador Usman Jadoon, while speaking at the Second Policy Dialogue regarding the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
According to Radio Pakistan, Usman Jadoon stressed that solidarity and South-South cooperation initiatives such as the Global Development Initiative are vital as global progress remains off track. He reaffirmed Pakistan's readiness to work closely with China, the Group of Friends, and the UN system to deliver practical results.
The Ambassador highlighted Pakistan's interest in projects focused on climate resilience, food security, and education. He emphasized the country's willingness to share its experience and collaborate on these critical areas to achieve sustainable development objectives.
