Islamabad: Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani has stated that the reduction in US tariffs offers Pakistan a competitive edge over regional players. He emphasized that this reduction would significantly enhance Pakistan's export performance, promoting economic growth and stability.
According to Radio Pakistan, Bilal Azhar Kayani highlighted that the United States remains Pakistan's largest export destination, with exports accounting for a six billion dollar market. He further noted that the US has expressed its willingness to increase investments in key sectors such as mines and minerals, IT, and energy, which are pivotal for Pakistan's economic development.
Kayani's remarks underline the importance of strengthening trade ties between Pakistan and the United States, as well as the potential benefits of tariff reductions in bolstering Pakistan's economic prospects.
