UAE Delegation Engages with FIA Headquarters in Islamabad

Islamabad: An eight-member delegation from the United Arab Emirates, led by Ahmed Bin Lahij Al Falasi, Director General of Customs and Port Security, visited the Federal Investigation Agency Headquarters in Islamabad. The visit aimed to enhance bilateral cooperation and strengthen ties between the two entities.

According to Radio Pakistan, the delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the Federal Investigation Agency's mandate, organizational structure, and its key operational wings. This exchange provided the UAE delegation with insights into the FIA's strategic operations and its focus areas.

Director General FIA Riffat Mukhtar Raja emphasized the agency's ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking, migrant smuggling, and immigration-related crimes. He elaborated on the mechanisms in place to address these issues, underscoring the importance of international collaboration in tackling transnational crimes.

Additionally, the delegation was informed about the Risk Analysis Unit's role and the establishment of Pre-Departure Facilitation Centres across all FIA zones. These initiatives are designed to support outbound international passengers, ensuring a streamlined and secure travel process. The visit highlighted the commitment to mutual cooperation in addressing security challenges.
