Islamabad:Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, has instructed for stricter monitoring measures to be implemented to ensure the stability of wheat prices and its availability in the market.

According to Radio Pakistan, Hussain emphasized the recent price fixation of wheat as a balanced strategy designed to support farmers and enhance domestic production.

The minister expressed confidence that the support price would encourage farmers to increase wheat cultivation and invest more in agricultural inputs. He highlighted that all stakeholders have agreed to the current price setting, acknowledging the rising production costs faced by farmers over the last two years.
