Sindh Cabinet Approves Wheat Release Policy 2025-26


Karachi: Sindh Cabinet has approved the Wheat Release Policy 2025-26, aimed at maintaining flour price stability and protecting the interests of small farmers. The approval was granted by provincial Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah while chairing a meeting of the provincial Cabinet in Karachi today.



According to Radio Pakistan, the cabinet was informed that, under the new policy, over 1.26 million metric tons of wheat will be released to flour mills at a controlled price of 9,500 rupees per 100 kg sack. The Chief Minister emphasized that public relief must be ensured and warned against any attempts at hoarding.



The cabinet also approved the reconstitution of the Board of Directors for the Sindh Enterprise Development Fund, which will play a renewed role in job creation and entrepreneurship across Sindh. Additionally, the cabinet approved the regularization of 78 employees of the Left Bank Outfall Drain project, including electricians and mechanics.
