Shaza Vows to Boost Country’s IT Exports.


Islamabad: Information and Communication Technology export remittances have experienced a significant increase of over thirty-four percent, reaching 1.20 billion dollars during the first four months of the current financial year. In a statement, Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja highlighted this growth, emphasizing the sector’s potential for further expansion.

According to Radio Pakistan, ICT exports were 894 million dollars in the same period last year. The minister expressed optimism about the future, noting that with the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council, the Ministry of IT, Pakistan Software Export Board, and IT industry stakeholders are dedicated to increasing the country’s IT exports.

Shaza Fatima Khawaja underscored the collaborative efforts being made to enhance the IT sector’s contribution to the national economy. The government and private sector aim to leverage these partnerships to sustain and advance the country’s position in the global IT
market.
