Security Forces Neutralize Eight Indian-Backed Militants in Tank Operation

Tank: Eight Khwarij associated with the Indian proxy group Fitna al Khwarij were killed during an intelligence-based operation in the Tank district.

According to Radio Pakistan, the operation was launched after receiving reports about the presence of these terrorists. Following an intense exchange of fire, the Indian-sponsored Khwarij were neutralized. The operation also led to the recovery of weapons and ammunition from the militants, who were involved in multiple terrorist activities targeting Security Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and civilians.

A sanitization operation is ongoing to eliminate any remaining Indian-backed Khwarij in the area. This action is part of the broader Counter Terrorism campaign “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as endorsed by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan, and aims to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.

President Asif Ali Zardari praised the security forces for their successful operation in Tank. In his statement, he expressed national solidarity with the security forces in their fight against terrorism, reaffirming his support for the “Azm-e-Istehkam” campaign. He highlighted that terrorists with Indian support are adversaries to Pakistan’s peace and stability.

President Zardari also expressed confidence that the sacrifices made for national peace and stability will not be in vain. He paid tribute to the martyrs and extended condolences to their families.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also commended the security forces for neutralizing the eight Indian-backed militants. In his statement, he expressed confidence in the professional capabilities of Pakistan’s security forces to eliminate terrorism. The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to thwarting any designs aimed at undermining Pakistan’s integrity and reaffirmed the resolve to combat anti-Pakistan elements.
