Saudi Arabia evinces interest, trust in Pakistan’s economy: Jam


Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan says Saudi Arabia has evinced interest and trust in economy of Pakistan.

Addressing a news conference along with Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar in Islamabad today, he said both of the countries are discussing joint ventures and collaboration in diverse sectors.

The Commerce Minister said it is the vision of the present government to promote businesses in order to steer the economy on right direction.

He said a Pakistan delegation will also visit Saudi Arabia to move forward towards the implementation phase.

On the occasion, Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik expressed the confidence that Pak-Saudi collaboration will lead Pakistan’s economy towards growth which will create job opportunities for the youth.

Musadik Malik said that Saudi Arabian companies have established separate desks, and Pakistani companies are engaged in negotiations to enhance their business at the international level.

He expressed optimism that sev
eral companies would finalize business and investment deals during the business-to-business sessions.

He highlighted the presence of over 100 Pakistani companies at the investment conference, negotiating cooperation with Saudi companies across various sectors including agriculture, mining, human resources, energy, chemicals, maritime, IT, religious tourism, telecom, aviation, construction, water, and power generation.
