Rain and Thundershowers Expected in Upper Parts of Pakistan


Islamabad: Partly cloudy weather with rain, wind, and thundershowers is anticipated at isolated locations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and adjoining hilly regions over the next twelve hours. Meanwhile, hot and dry weather is expected to prevail in other parts of the country.



According to Radio Pakistan, the temperature recorded this morning in major cities included Islamabad and Muzaffarabad at twenty-six degrees centigrade, Lahore at thirty, Karachi and Peshawar at twenty-eight, Quetta at twenty, Gilgit at eighteen, and Murree at sixteen degrees centigrade.



In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the weather forecast predicts partly cloudy conditions with potential rain and thunderstorms in areas such as Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. The morning temperatures recorded were eighteen degrees centigrade in Srinagar, twenty-five in Jammu, eight in Leh, sixteen in Pulwama and Baramula, and seventeen in Anantnag and Shopian.
