Lahore: Renowned journalist and political analyst Farrukh Shahbaz Warraich has said that Radio Pakistan, being the oldest and largest broadcasting organization in the country, is regarded as an authentic and credible source of information for the masses. He shared these views while leading a delegation of students from the Department of Media and Development Communication, University of the Punjab, on a visit to Radio Pakistan, Lahore.
According to Radio Pakistan, Farrukh Shahbaz Warraich highlighted that Radio Pakistan has played a significant role in preserving and promoting the oral history of Pakistan through its transmissions. Controller News Sajjad Parvez informed the delegation that Radio Pakistan’s transmission is now accessible via mobile apps and social media, offering video podcasts as well as live audio and video streaming, in addition to its traditional medium wave and FM transmitters.
The students also toured the picture gallery of Radio Pakistan Lahore, showing keen interest in photographs of national icons from the fields of music, literature, and current affairs who have been associated with the station since independence.
