Islamabad: Punjab Minister for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced a one-week extension in winter vacations for educational institutions across the province.

According to Radio Pakistan, in a statement issued today, he said the decision has been taken to protect students from the severe cold. The Minister stated that educational institutions will now reopen on the nineteenth of this month.
