Layyah: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced plans to establish a medical college in Layyah. Addressing a ceremony to distribute Honhaar Scholarships and Laptops in the city, she emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring that no child is deprived of access to technology and education.
According to Radio Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz revealed that one hundred and ten billion rupees have been allocated for the enhancement of the education sector, which includes the construction of classrooms and the provision of missing facilities in educational institutions across the province. This substantial investment aims to improve the overall educational infrastructure and resources available to students.
In addition to the medical college initiative, the Chief Minister announced a grant of one point five billion rupees each for Layyah and Ghazi University Dera Ghazi Khan. These funds are intended to further support educational development and opportunities in the region.
Earlier in the event, Maryam Nawaz distributed laptops and scholarships among the students of Layyah, highlighting the government’s ongoing efforts to support education and technological advancement in the area.
