Lahore: Punjab Cabinet has approved a significant reduction in power tariffs for provincial power companies. The meeting of the Punjab Cabinet, chaired by the Chief Minister of the Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, was held in Lahore on Tuesday.According to Radio Pakistan, approval was also granted for the Chief Minister Wheat Programme 2025 and the establishment of Punjab's first "Air Punjab Private Limited Company." The Provincial Cabinet further endorsed the provision of 1,100 interest-free electric taxis in Lahore.In addition, the Cabinet sanctioned 100 billion rupees under the Chief Minister Punjab Special Financing Facility to support flour mills and food grain license holders.
