Islamabad:President Asif Ali Zardari extended heartfelt congratulations to the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia on the Kingdom's 96th National Day.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari highlighted the significance of the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement and the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, stating they have enhanced the strategic aspects of the long-standing partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

In letters addressed to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the President emphasized the deep-rooted ties of faith, shared history, and mutual trust between the two nations. He noted that these agreements are key milestones contributing to regional peace, stability, and security.

President Zardari expressed optimism that the brotherly relations between the countries will continue to grow across various areas of mutual interest, benefiting both nations. He also extended an invitation to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for an early visit to Pakistan, aiming to further enhance bilateral cooperation.
