Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to further broaden relations with China in the future. In his message on the 74th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, he conveyed his best wishes to the Chinese leadership and people.
According to Radio Pakistan, the President said Pakistan seeks to further expand bilateral relations with China in the fields of economy, technology, defense, education, and trade. Asif Ali Zardari highlighted the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor as a shining example of the strong relationship between the two countries, emphasizing its positive impact on Pakistan’s economy, infrastructure, and energy sector.
Asif Ali Zardari stated that Pakistan highly values its historic relations with China, considering them a vital part of Pakistan’s foreign policy. He noted that the relations between the two countries have grown stronger and deeper over the last seven decades, referring to them as iron brothers and strategic cooperative partners.
The President expressed gratitude to the Chinese government and people for their consistent support during challenging times, affirming that the two countries will continue to work together to tackle regional and global challenges. He acknowledged that China has made a significant contribution to strengthening Pakistan’s defense sector.
