Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have commended a successful operation by security forces against terrorists in the Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan. In their separate statements, they acknowledged the bravery and dedication of the forces involved in the operation.
According to Radio Pakistan, the President paid tribute to Major Sibtain Haider, who embraced martyrdom while thwarting the enemy’s plans during the operation. The President expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the family of the martyred officer, emphasizing the nation’s gratitude for his sacrifice.
The President also remarked on the fate of Fitna Al Khawarij, stating that their operations under Indian patronage will always end disgracefully. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eradicating terrorism from the region.
The Prime Minister echoed similar sentiments, expressing pride in the courageous officers and soldiers of the armed forces. He reiterated the nation’s unwavering commitment to completely eliminate the threat of terrorism from the country.
