Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the earthquake in northern areas of Afghanistan. In a statement, he also expressed solidarity and condolences with the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

According to Radio Pakistan, the President said Pakistan stands with the Afghan people in this time of trial and prayed that Allah Almighty may grant courage and patience to the Afghan brothers and sisters in this difficult time.
