Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today visited Islamabad Safe City and Capital Command and Control Center.
According to Radio Pakistan, Inspector General Islamabad Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi briefed the Prime Minister about the working of its various sections. The IG Police mentioned that under the 'Police Station on Wheels' initiative, the police force is providing online facilities, including the issuance of driving licenses to residents of the federal capital.
The Command-and-Control Center, as explained by the IG Police, serves as the nerve center with the help of CCTV cameras and AI-enabled software to control crimes and ensure security. During the visit, the Prime Minister explored various sections and inquired about facilities like taxi verification, women's help counter, registration of FIR, and vehicle licenses.
The Prime Minister interacted with the staff and inquired about their work, expressing appreciation for their performance. He was accompanied by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and other concerned authorities.
