PM Urges Political Leadership to Collaborate for National Economic Growth


Jahanian: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called on the nation’s political leadership to join forces for the economic advancement of the country. He addressed ministers, members of Parliament, and the Punjab assembly at the residence of National Assembly member Chaudhry Iftikhar Nazir.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted that all economic indicators are showing positive trends, indicating that the country is on a path toward economic growth. He acknowledged the support from Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for the government’s economic development initiatives.



Shehbaz Sharif also commended the Punjab government for its commendable performance in sectors such as health, education, transport, communication, and road construction. He emphasized the federal government’s support for the governments of Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan in their efforts to improve the welfare of their people.



The Prime Minister extended his congratulations to the newly elected Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister, expressing the federal government’s readiness to collaborate in the national interest. On the diplomatic front, he mentioned his meetings with US President Donald Trump during his visit to New York and Washington, where he, along with leaders from Islamic countries, played a role in addressing the situation in Gaza.



Referring to the recent conflict with India in May, Prime Minister Sharif declared Pakistan’s victory in the four-day war, attributing the success to the prayers of the people and the valor of the Pakistan army, navy, and air force. He praised the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber for their roles in achieving this victory.



Earlier, the Prime Minister visited the residence of Member National Assembly Muhammad Khan Daha in Khanewal, where he offered Fateha for the late former provincial minister of Punjab, Haji Irfan Ahmed Khan Daha.
