Doha: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has highlighted the necessity for unity within the Muslim Ummah in response to ongoing Israeli provocations. The Prime Minister’s remarks came during a meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, held in Doha alongside the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for immediate cessation of Israeli aggression in the Middle East. He strongly condemned the recent Israeli strike on a residential area in Doha, which resulted in the loss of lives and injuries to several individuals.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for Qatar during this critical period, Prime Minister Sharif described the Israeli attack as a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a significant breach of international law.

Shehbaz Sharif stressed the historical and enduring fraternal ties between Pakistan and Qatar, expressing optimism that these relations would continue to strengthen in the future.

The Emir of Qatar expressed his gratitude for the Prime Minister’s attendance at the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit and his visit to Doha on September 12 to show solidarity with Qatar during this challenging time. Both leaders agreed to maintain close contact as the situation in the region continues to evolve.
