Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the martyring of a police official by protesters, expressing his deep grief and sorrow over the incident. In a statement released today, he offered his condolences to the family of Constable Mubashir Shaheed and prayed for his elevated status in heaven. The Prime Minister also emphasized the urgent need to identify and punish those responsible for the incident.According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif has directed that the best medical facilities be provided to the police officials injured during the protest due to stone-pelting and violence. He condemned the attacks on police officials, stating that they were carried out under the guise of so-called peaceful protests. He highlighted the role of police and law enforcement personnel in maintaining peace and order and criticized those who resort to violent acts, recalling the nationwide riots on May 9.Prime Minister Sharif expressed his sympathy for the young children of 46-year-old Co nstable Mubashir Shaheed, whose life was tragically cut short by miscreants. He remarked on the recurring pattern of arson and chaos whenever the country makes progress, attributing such acts to those who are enemies of the nation's advancement.Shehbaz Sharif, along with the entire nation, paid tribute to the sacrifice of Constable Mubashir. He reiterated that the martyrdom of the constable was at the hands of a group that opposes the country's progress and condemned the act of injuring and killing police officials under the pretense of peaceful protests.
