Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has proclaimed that the day of Marka-e-Haq is an occasion to express gratitude for Allah's countless blessings upon Pakistan, as the nation commemorates its resilient stand against adversity and the decisive triumph over its adversary.
According to Radio Pakistan, in his message on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the nation's tribute to its martyrs, their families, and the ghazis who stood resolute in defending their homeland. He acknowledged the synchronized response of Pakistan's forces across multiple domains-land, sea, air, and cyber-reinforcing the nation's invincibility.
The Prime Minister highlighted that Marka-e-Haq is a testament to Pakistan's identity as a peace-loving yet resilient and dignified nation, impervious to intimidation or subjugation by aggressors. The event is celebrated as an epic achievement of dominance over an enemy intent on unprovoked aggression, which was met with a reality check dispelling its illusions of invincibility.
Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the military leadership, including Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber, and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf for their strategic leadership. He reiterated Pakistan's commitment to peace, deterrence, and the safeguarding of its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
In a strong message, the Prime Minister asserted that any aggression against Pakistan will be met with a swift, comprehensive response. He emphasized the nation's determination to maintain security along its borders and to eradicate terrorism, targeting groups like 'Fitna al-Khawarij' and 'Fitna al-Hindustan.'
The issue of Kashmir, described by Sharif as the unfinished agenda of the subcontinent's partition, remains central to Pakistan's narrative. He called for its resolution in accordance with United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, stressing that strategic stability in South Asia hinges on this matter.
Highlighting Pakistan's role on the global stage, Shehbaz Sharif pointed out the country's recognition as a responsible nation contributing to global peace and stability. Pakistan's mediation efforts in the US-Iran conflict underscore its commitment to peaceful conflict resolution.
On his social media account, the Prime Minister declared Marka-e-Haq a symbol of national unity and resilience. He acknowledged the courage and sacrifice of Pakistan's Armed Forces and citizens during 'Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos,' led by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, which showcased exceptional military strength and professionalism in defending the nation's sovereignty.
