PM Offers Condolences Over Maulana Fazlur Rahim Ashrafi’s Demise

Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited Jamia Ashrafia in Lahore today to offer condolences over the passing of the late Mohtamim-e-Aala Maulana Fazlur Rahim Ashrafi. He extended his condolences to the current Mohtamim-e-Aala, Maulana Qari Arshad Ubaid, on the demise of Maulana Fazlur Rahim Ashrafi.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister offered Fateha and prayed for the elevation of the departed soul's ranks in heaven. Speaking on this occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said the services rendered by the late Maulana Fazlur Rahim Ashrafi for Islam will be remembered for generations to come.

The Prime Minister recalled that he, along with his father Mian Muhammad Sharif, regularly attended Friday prayers at Jamia Ashrafia Lahore over a long period of time. He commended the Jamia Ashrafia for its role in forging unity among Muslim Ummah.

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Prime Minister's Special Assistant Talha Barki, Deputy Mohtamim-e-Aala of Jamia Ashrafia Hafiz Asad Ubaid, Deputy Mohtamim and son of the late Maulana Fazlur Rahim Ashrafi, Zubair Hassan, and Nazim-e-Aala Qari Maulana Owais Hassan were also present on this occasion.
