Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended warm felicitations to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the government, and the brotherly people of Trkiye on the joyous occasion of Victory Day. In a post on X, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of August 30th, marking the historic victory achieved under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatrk, which laid the foundations of the modern Turkish Republic.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister expressed that Pakistan stands with its Turkish brothers and sisters in honoring this proud legacy of courage and national resolve. He emphasized that the bonds between Pakistan and Trkiye are deeply rooted in shared faith, history, and struggle, fostering a unique relationship between the two nations.

Further, the Prime Minister mentioned that Pakistan and Trkiye have reaffirmed their enduring strategic brotherhood through the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, alongside the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This agreement reflects their shared commitment to security and collective deterrence, signifying a robust partnership.

Prime Minister Sharif reiterated Pakistan's commitment to further deepening its strategic partnership with Trkiye across all domains, aiming for shared prosperity and security for both countries. He expressed hope that the enduring friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Trkiye will continue to grow and flourish for generations to come.
