PM Expands Fuel Relief Scheme to Include Older Motorcycles and Rickshaws

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued a special directive to immediately include 20-year-old model motorcycles, rickshaws, and Qingqi rickshaws in the fuel relief scheme.

According to Radio Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif issued these directives while expanding the scope of the Prime Minister's Fuel Relief Scheme. Now all motorcycles, rickshaws, and Qingqi rickshaws registered after January 1, 2006, will be eligible to register for the fuel subsidy.

This expansion aims to provide financial relief to owners of older vehicles, ensuring broader access to fuel subsidies amid rising fuel prices. The move is part of the government's larger strategy to support low-income earners who rely on these modes of transportation for their livelihood.
