PLRA Launches Digital Initiatives to Improve Land Services in Punjab

Lahore: Chairman Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) Chaudhry Tariq Subhani announced the introduction of several landmark initiatives aimed at providing efficient and transparent land-related services to the public. These initiatives include E-Registration, E-Stamp, DDM Dashboard, Fard, Mutation, and Deed Registration.

According to Radio Pakistan, in an interview with correspondent Qasim Bukhari, Chaudhry Tariq Subhani detailed that the Punjab government has launched the Arazi Moawin Licence under a public-private partnership model. This initiative is intended to enhance access to land record services throughout the province. It aims to create dignified employment opportunities for the unemployed while ensuring easier access to land services for citizens.

He added that individuals and firms interested in land measurement and surveying can register to join this mission, which is designed to be public-friendly. Additionally, a new mechanism for issuing stamp papers has been introduced to strengthen consumer protection and eliminate fraud. Under this system, applicants are required to use a registered mobile SIM to receive a One-Time Password (OTP), which must be verified by the stamp vendor before the stamp paper is issued.

Chaudhry Tariq Subhani emphasized that these digital innovations are expected to improve service delivery, enhance transparency, simplify legal procedures, and curb fraud and forgery in land record services across Punjab.
