Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the significance of maintaining stability and continuity in policies to overcome barriers to economic growth. He made these remarks during a ceremony marking the launch of the “Pakistan at 2050” study by UNFPA and Population Council.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister praised UNFPA and the Population Council for their efforts in producing the study, which offers a comprehensive analysis of the recent census results. He noted that the report not only outlines future directions but also provides the necessary tools to address forthcoming challenges associated with population growth.
Ahsan Iqbal also emphasized the importance of devolving powers to lower levels, asserting that such a move is crucial for enhancing the governance system.
