Punjab Assembly session, chaired by Speaker Sibtain Khan, was held in Lahore on Wednesday.

During the session, Mian Aslam Iqbal and Raja Basharat presented the resolution for vote of confidence on Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.

Later, Speaker of the house announced that Pervaiz Elahi bagged 186 votes, exactly the number required to retain his position.

The Assembly session was later prorogued till 23rd of this month.
