Rawalpindi: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) is continuing flood relief and rehabilitation activities in flood affected areas in the Punjab. In a statement, Director General of PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia said that the water level in the River Indus has risen at Tarbela, Kalabagh, Chashma, and Taunsa.
According to Radio Pakistan, relief operations are in full swing across the province to tackle the potential flood situation. Irfan Ali Kathia informed that due to flooding, a total of 120 Mozajaat in various districts of Punjab have been partially submerged.
He appealed to the public to immediately relocate to safer areas away from the riverbanks. DG PDMA further stated that a total of 47 relief camps have been set up in the affected districts.
