Muzaffarabad: Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir has called for effectively highlighting Kashmir issue nationally and internationally, and organizing efforts in support of Kashmiris right to self-determination. The Committee met in Muzaffarabad today with its Chairman Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon in the chair.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Committee agreed on the need to ensure political and economic stability in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, promote good governance, prioritize public welfare, and complete development projects. Directions were issued for timely completion of feasibility studies for airports in all three divisions of Azad Kashmir.

The Committee also instructed relevant departments to take immediate steps to address the issues faced by Jammu and Kashmir refugees residing in Pakistan. It reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued political, diplomatic, and moral support to the Kashmiri people.

The Chairman of the Committee directed all relevant departments to strengthen national unity and intensify diplomatic efforts at international fora to ensure that the voice of the Kashmiri people is heard across the globe. During the session, a comprehensive review was conducted on the implementation status of the decisions made during its last meeting.
