Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has issued a strong statement affirming Pakistan’s resolve to defend its territorial integrity against any violations, regardless of the size or influence of the offending nation.
According to Radio Pakistan, Dar’s remarks were made during an interview with Al-Jazeera, where he addressed concerns about regional stability and external threats. When questioned about the recent Israeli attack on Qatar and its implications for Pakistan, Dar revealed that intelligence indicated Israeli support for India in a recent conflict with Pakistan. He emphasized that Pakistan’s actions were purely defensive in nature and aimed at preserving national sovereignty.
Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace and its desire to maintain stable relations with neighboring countries, including India. However, he highlighted credible evidence of foreign involvement in terrorist activities within Pakistan, labeling such interference as intolerable.
The Deputy Prime Minister also condemned the Israeli aggression against Qatar, criticizing the disregard for international law and resolutions from bodies such as the OIC and the UN Security Council. He called for necessary reforms within the UN system and emphasized the need for a strategic plan to counter further Israeli aggression if it continues.
Furthermore, Dar urged for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza, advocating for the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians affected by the conflict.
