Pakistan Urges Respect for Sacred Sites Amid Tensions in Palestine

Islamabad: Pakistan has called for upholding the sanctity and historical status of the holy sites, and preventing Israel from any further provocations.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Foreign Office strongly condemned the latest provocative actions by the Israeli occupying power and illegal settlers aimed at undermining the religious, historical, and legal status of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The statement emphasized that such actions are unacceptable and constitute a violation of international law, potentially escalating an already volatile situation in the region.

The Foreign Office further expressed Pakistan’s strong disapproval of the continued targeting of Palestinian civilians in Gaza by the occupying power. It highlighted a recent attack on a school sheltering displaced families in Gaza, which resulted in numerous deaths, including children. The statement urged the international community to take notice of these actions.

Pakistan called for an immediate cessation of these attacks and stressed that Israel must be held accountable for its actions. The statement reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and advocated for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
