Islamabad: Pakistan is developing its first-ever E-Sports policy and is in the process of establishing an E-Sports Federation as it acknowledges the sector’s emergence as a fast-growing, multibillion-dollar global industry. Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan announced this while addressing a ceremony in Islamabad today.
According to Radio Pakistan, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan highlighted that around sixty million Pakistanis are directly or indirectly involved in E-Sports. The new policy aims to support not only gamers but also game developers and digital innovators, fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment for the sector.
Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan further emphasized that the government, guided by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision, is committed to creating opportunities for youth across all provinces. These steps are part of a broader initiative to harness the potential of young people in the digital economy and equip them for future challenges.
