Islamabad: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has articulated that Pakistan stands for peace, while India relies on a fragile foundation of propaganda, division, and hatred.
According to Radio Pakistan, Bilawal made these remarks while addressing the media after receiving a briefing from the Foreign Office in Islamabad. He highlighted that a delegation formed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to visit various countries to present Pakistan’s perspective and inform the international community about Indian actions, including violations related to the Indus Water Treaty. He expressed concerns over India’s attempts to weaponize water resources.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari further stressed that the impact of any conflict between nuclear-armed neighbors like Pakistan and India would reach far beyond the two countries themselves. He expressed gratitude to the Foreign Office for its comprehensive briefing and acknowledged its role during periods of Indian aggression.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace and dialogue, Bilawal expressed regret over India’s reluctance to engage in discussions. He pointed out that Pakistan remains the worst victim of terrorism and emphasized the necessity of addressing key issues such as Jammu and Kashmir, the Indus Water Treaty, and terrorism to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.
In his remarks, Minister for Climate Change Musadik Masood Malik stated that any dialogue with India would be conducted on the basis of equality. He warned that Pakistan’s response would be more severe if India attempted any hostile actions in the future.
