Pakistan Shaheens defend ACC Men’s Emerging Cup Title

Pakistan have won the ACC Men’s Emerging Cup, beating India by 128 runs in Colombo on Sunday night.

Batting first, Pakistan-A scored 352 runs for the loss of eight wickets in allotted 50 overs.

In reply, India-A were all out on 224 runs in 40 overs.

For Pakistan, Tayyab Tahir with 108 runs, Saim Ayub with 59, while Sahibzada Farhan with 69 runs remained the main scorers. Sufiyan Muqeem took three wickets, while Arshad Iqbal, Mehran Mumtaz and Mohammad Wasim grabbed two wickets each.

For India, Abhishek Sharma with 61 runs remained the main scorer, while Rajvardhan Hangargekar and Riyan Parag took two wickets each.

Tayyab Tahir who made 108 runs for Pakistan was declared player of the match.

It is pertinent to mention that India-A defeated Bangladesh-A by 51 runs in the second semi-final of the Emerging Asia Cup on Friday.
