Brussels: Pakistan and the European Union have agreed to explore mechanisms for greater participation of Pakistani institutions in EU research initiatives. The agreement has been reached during a meeting between Pakistan’s Ambassador to the European Union, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, and Head of Cabinet to EU Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation, Andreas Schwarz in Brussels.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting focused on strengthening the Pakistan-EU knowledge partnership under the Horizon Europe framework. The discussions aimed at creating opportunities for Pakistani institutions to engage more actively in research projects supported by the European Union. This collaboration is expected to pave the way for mutual growth in research and innovation sectors between Pakistan and the EU.
