Pakistan-China Military Alliance Celebrated at PLA’s 99th Anniversary Commemoration

Rawalpindi: The 99th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of the People's Republic of China was commemorated at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, where Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir emphasized the strength of Pakistan-China relations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir highlighted the unique and time-tested friendship between Pakistan and China, which has remained steadfast despite evolving regional and global challenges. He reaffirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces and the PLA are true partners, bonded by mutual trust and support, with a shared commitment to regional peace and stability and the protection of common strategic interests.

During the event, Syed Asim Munir congratulated the PLA on its 99th founding anniversary and paid tribute to its contributions to China's defense, national development, and international peace and security. In his address, ChineseAmbassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong expressed appreciation for the Field Marshal's hosting of the event and acknowledged the significant contributions and sacrifices of Pakistan Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism. He reiterated China's support for Pakistan and the commitment to further strengthening the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership between the two nations.
