Manama: The First Pakistan-Bahrain Investment Opportunities Summit and Smart Expo was successfully held in Manama, Bahrain. The event was jointly organized by the Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Bahrain.
According to Radio Pakistan, the summit’s inaugural session was graced by Mohamed Abduljabbar Alkoheji, the Second Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as the Guest of Honour. The closing ceremony was attended by Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, the Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Over 125 delegates from prominent Pakistani companies participated in the summit, representing key sectors such as Information Technology, the Stock Exchange, Human Resource services, and Real Estate. These companies presented a wide range of investment-ready projects, which drew strong interest from Bahraini business leaders and the Pakistani community based in Bahrain.
The summit aimed to promote bilateral economic
collaboration and highlight Pakistan’s vast investment potential. It also served to strengthen investor confidence in exploring opportunities within the Bahraini market.
A series of Business-to-Business meetings were held on the sidelines of the Expo. Pakistani businesses showcased their products and services through dedicated stalls and presentations to prospective Bahraini investors.
According to initial estimates, the summit facilitated business deals worth approximately 12 million US dollars, signaling an encouraging sign of growing economic ties between Pakistan and Bahrain. Overall, the event marked a significant step towards deepening bilateral commercial relations and promoting regional economic integration.
