Pakistan and Vietnam Aim to Boost Economic Partnership: Jam


Islamabad: Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan emphasized the potential for expanding trade between Pakistan and Vietnam, expressing Pakistan’s eagerness to strengthen its friendship with Vietnam into a robust economic partnership.

According to Radio Pakistan, while addressing the Pakistan-Vietnam Business Forum in Islamabad, Jam Kamal Khan highlighted the longstanding relations between the two countries, which are built on mutual respect and cooperation. He pointed out that there is significant potential for increasing bilateral trade in various sectors, including textiles, leather, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, fisheries, information technology, renewable energy, and e-commerce.

The Minister mentioned that both nations have agreed in principle to pursue a Preferential Trade Agreement, which is expected to further enhance economic cooperation. He expressed confidence that the business forum will herald a new chapter in Pakistan-Vietnam economic relations, fostering mutual trust, shared prosperity, and a
lasting partnership.
