Colombo: Pakistan and Sri Lanka have reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing bilateral security collaboration. This resolve was expressed at a meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Sri Lanka's Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Retired Sampatha Thuyacontha in Colombo today. During the meeting, matters relating to Pakistan-Sri Lanka security cooperation and defence affairs were discussed in detail.
According to Radio Pakistan, speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi stated that security relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka have remained strong during every period. He reiterated Pakistan's resolve to further strengthen security cooperation with Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan Defence Secretary acknowledged his country's experiences with terrorism and expressed gratitude for Pakistan's full support in the Sri Lankan government's counter-terrorism efforts.
