Jeddah: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen international partnerships in the global fight against financial crimes. This development arose during a meeting between the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman, retired Lt General Nazir Ahmed Butt, and the President of Saudi Arabia’s Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, Mazin bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous. Their meeting took place on the sidelines of the First Annual General Meeting of the Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network in the Middle East and North Africa.
According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions between the two leaders focused on matters of mutual interest and prospects for cooperation between Pakistan’s NAB and Saudi Arabia’s Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority. The meeting explored opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation in promoting integrity and tackling cross-border corruption.
In addition, NAB chairman expressed his appreciation on social media platform X, acknowledging Saudi Arabia and its Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority for organizing the landmark international event focused on combating corruption.
