Pak-China Relations Poised for Growth: President Zardari Visits Historic CPC Site


Shanghai: President Asif Ali Zardari visited the Memorial of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Shanghai. He was accompanied by First Lady, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, and Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The Memorial, located in Shanghai’s historic French Concession, preserves the site where the CPC held its founding congress in July 1921.



According to Radio Pakistan, President Asif Ali Zardari expressed honor at visiting the historical site where the Communist Party of China was founded. He conveyed the respect of the people of Pakistan for China’s journey to becoming a major global power. President Zardari emphasized that the friendship between the two countries, nurtured by the leadership of President Xi Jinping, has grown rapidly and remains an all-weather partnership. He asserted that the historic ties between Pakistan and China would continue to strengthen and flourish.



Meanwhile, Vice President of the China Africa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ms. Hao, met with President Asif Ali Zardari and First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari in Shanghai. Ms. Hao expressed her desire to establish a similar Chamber of Commerce with Pakistan to further strengthen economic ties and promote business-to-business linkages. The President and the First Lady appreciated her proposal and assured their full support, noting that such an initiative would open new avenues for trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Pakistan and China.
