Over 2,000 Sikh Pilgrims Arrive in Lahore for Guru Nanak’s 556th Birth Anniversary


Lahore: Over two thousand Sikh pilgrims from India have arrived in Pakistan through the Wagha Border to partake in the 556th birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of the Sikh religion. These pilgrims are gathering at Nankana Sahib, where the festivities are being held.



According to Radio Pakistan, Sikh Yatrees from both Pakistan and abroad are converging on Nankana Sahib to engage in the ceremonies and perform religious rituals at Gurdwara Janam Asthan. The main ceremony of the birth anniversary celebrations is scheduled to occur tomorrow at the Gurdwara Janam Asthan, with an expected participation of around thirty thousand Yatrees.
